2011 for Carrick Angling Club was another excellent season with many anglers having plenty of fishy tails to tell. There was a lot of salmon caught, with little reports of grilse -comparable to most of the Ayrshire rivers.

| For a very reasonable charge, a good part of the river Girvan is available to fish; from the estuary to three miles inland. Our well stocked reservoir is open all year round and produces good fighting trout for all our fly fishing anglers. The Club offers river and still water fishing to everyone, irrespective of age and ability. Salmon and Trout fishing is available. If you want to hire tackle then contact the people below... |

| The club has a car park for easy access for all to get to the river safely. We also have a platform suitable for the needs of disabled anglers so that they can enjoy the art of angling. We have single bank fishing and double bank fishing, for salmon /sea trout and wild brown trout. We also have a well stocked reservoir with rainbow trout and blue trout, fly fishing only, to suit all anglers needs . |
Camreggan beat has been restored with a shored up banking and a hand railed footpath put in place. All can enjoy easy access to this part of the river and see the wildlife that the club has to offer.
