The monies from various sources (including "Awards for All", Nestle and the Social Inclusion Project ) allowed theCarrick Angling club to improve; a) Access for disabled  fisherman by creating   - An access car park for cars and minibuses   - an all weather Fishing Platform for disabled anglers b) The river habitat   - 150 trees will be  planted.   The Disabled access platform was officially opened on Aug 2006.
